Women Leading with Purpose Since 1894

For more than 130 years, the Women’s Club of El Paso has been a civic force in our community — founded by women determined to create opportunity, enrich culture, and strengthen the city they called home.

What began in 1894 as a gathering of forward-thinking women has grown into one of El Paso’s most enduring nonprofit organizations.

Our Story

Rooted in service and guided by purpose, the Women’s Club has long provided educational and cultural enrichment for its members while actively supporting the broader community.

Through the decades, our members have worked together to:

  • Advance local arts and education
  • Support charitable organizations and social service agencies
  • Preserve and maintain our historic clubhouse
  • Create opportunities for connection, leadership, and civic engagement

Our beautiful clubhouse has served as a gathering space for special events, community programs, and meaningful conversations for generations.

Who We Are Today

Today, we remain committed to improving our community while honoring the legacy of those who came before us.

We host educational programs, cultural events, and fundraising initiatives that benefit local nonprofits and strengthen community partnerships. At the same time, we provide our members with opportunities for friendship, leadership, and enrichment.

Our Mission

The Woman’s Club of El Paso is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational and cultural enrichment, preserving our historic clubhouse, and improving conditions and opportunities for women.

Auxiliaries & Junior Woman’s Club

In addition to the main organization, we are proud to support affiliated groups that further our mission.

The Arts & Crafts Study Club and The Book Club meet regularly to encourage learning, creativity, and fellowship.

The Junior Woman’s Club of El Paso, founded in 1934, continues the tradition of service by dedicating time and energy to local charitable organizations and social service agencies through community projects and fundraising events.
